The Bonanza Patio Peach Tree brings full-size flavor to compact spaces. Pink spring blossoms give way to rosy, yellow-fleshed fruit on a naturally dwarf frame that tops out around 5–6 feet. It’s the easy, high-impact way to add color, fragrance, and fresh peaches to a porch, balcony, or small garden.
This self-fruitful variety ripens in mid to late summer depending on your climate. The rounded habit stays tidy in containers, and the glossy green foliage keeps your patio looking lush long after bloom.
Bonanza Patio Peach Tree Care
Provide 6–8 hours of direct sun daily. Plant in well-drained soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (about 6.0–7.0); for containers, use a high-quality potting mix labeled for trees and shrubs. Water when the top 1–2 inches are dry; in summer, container-grown trees may need watering 2–3 times per week. Mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch a few inches off the trunk. Feed in early spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer (such as 8-8-8 or 10-10-10); a light midsummer top-up is helpful for potted trees.
Prune in late winter to open the center and remove crossing, weak, or damaged wood; tip-prune after bloom to maintain shape. Hardy in Zones 6–9; flowers can be nipped by late frosts, so cover during cold snaps. Low-chill friendly at approximately 250–300 hours. Monitor for common peach issues like aphids or leaf curl and treat promptly if observed.
Bonanza Patio Peach Tree Spacing
As a specimen, allow 4–5 feet of width and keep at least 2–3 feet from walls, paths, or railings for airflow. For a short edible screen or row, plant 3–4 feet on center.
In containers, start with a pot 16–24 inches wide and 14–18 inches deep with drainage; upsize gradually as roots fill the container. Position pots 2–3 feet from seating to showcase bloom and fruit, and stake young trees in windy sites until the trunk firms up.
