Growing Zones
This wavy flowered beauty has 3-4 inch flowers that are white shades with stunning magenta anthers. A compact variety, this clematis, can be grown in a container, on a trellis or against a wall. Boulevard Ninon is a hardy perennial in zones 4-9 that is a free-flowering, repeat bloomer from early summer until fall.
If you have pesky rabbits or deer near you, they don’t generally eat clematis. This beautiful white flower is a great addition to your cut flower garden, both foliage and the flowers can be used. Boulevard Ninon is great for bees, and attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
Boulevard Ninon Clematis Care
If pruning is needed, pruning can be done in February/March to remove weak stems, dead wood or to prune for shape. This clematis blooms on the previous season’s growth and this year's growth (new wood and old wood), making it part of pruning Group 2.
Boulevard Ninon Clematis is best suited full sun to part shade (4-6+ hours daily). This clematis prefers moderately moist soil, allowing it to dry slightly in between waterings. Amend the soil when planting with a good quality compost or humus for best results.
Boulevard Ninon Clematis Spacing
Boulevard Ninon reaches a height of 4-5 feet tall and has a spread of 1-2 feet. For best results space plants at least 18-24 inches apart when planting in beds.
