Carolina Sapphire Arizona Cypress - Cupressus arizonica var. glabra 'Carolina Sapphire' – is a stunning pyramidal conifer, perfect for a specimen plant, or for use in a privacy barrier. Blue-silver needles cover this tree, and beautiful reddish-brown flaky bark on the trunk make this conifer a spectacular sight. Deer and disease resistant, this tree prefers hot, dry climates and is incredibly drought tolerant.
Carolina Sapphire Arizona Cypress Care
Carolina Sapphire Arizona Cypress prefers well-drained soil and will tolerate some acidity and sandier soils. Fertilize in the early spring and mid fall for best growth with slow-release fertilizers. Pruning is often not needed, but if desired, prune in the spring.
