The Proven Winners ColorChoice® Cityline® Paris Hydrangea is one of the smallest hydrangeas available. The plant has deep red flowers, and does not need to be pruned ever! This compact bigleaf hydrangea is great for mass plantings, garden borders, hedges, and container gardens!
This shrub is very disease and mildew resistant. It is salt tolerant, and actually thrives in areas by the ocean! We also like planting these in hell-strips (the area between the sidewalk and the road), to add curb appeal.
Cityline Paris Hydrangea Care
This bush does best in well drained soil. We also recommend adding peat moss or compost to the soil. And with most hydrangeas, it is best to add mulch to the base of the plant as well. This plant might need extra protection in colder climates, such as zones 5 and 6.
Fertilize in early spring with a slow release fertilizer formulated for woody plants like rose fertilizer.
Cityline Paris Hydrangea Spacing
Plant these shrubs 3 to 4 feet apart, center on center. To create a small hedge or garden border, you can plant these 28 to 36 inches apart, center on center. We especially like the looks of creating a hedge with these in coastal landscaping, with a pop of color you can see from the water!
