It is a slow growing spruce that maintains its cylindrical shape making it a lovely choice for a Christmas tree. This spruce is deer resistant, weather hardy, and is able to withstand high winds. It is a great care-free addition to any landscape or living room!
The Dwarf Alberta Spruce is an evergreen that has blue green foliage. Mature height for this spruce is six to eight feet tall with a spread of four to five feet. They are commonly used as accent plants, novelty such as Christmas trees, they make great topiary, and they are wonderful for adding color or texture to your landscape.
Dwarf Alberta Spruce Care
Care for the Dwarf Alberta Spruce is simple. It needs well drained soil. Be sure to plant in full sun to part shade. It has average water needs. This spruce should also be checked and treated for spider mites regularly. Pruning Dwarf Alberta Spruce is not necessary, and the plant does not handle pruning very well because it has a slow growth rate. Trim off sick or brown sticks and needles as needed to help the appearance of the plant.

The Dwarf Alberta Spruce grows to be six to eight feet. To ensure the health of the plant, spacing should be 4-5 feet, center on center.
