The Endless Summer Bloomstruck Hydrangea, hydrangea macrophylla ‘Piihm-ii’, is a compact hydrangea blooms all summer long. Large, 3.5”-5” pink or purple blooms, depending on soil pH. Dark green foliage takes on a burgundy-red color in the fall.
Endless Summer Bloomstruck Hydrangea Care
For zones 4 and 5, plant in a sheltered location and mulch during the winter. Plant in well-drained, moist soil. Prune out winter- damaged stems in late winter or early spring. Fertilize in early spring with an acid fertilizer if blue blooms are desired. Ideal as an accent plant or in the shrub border. For southern states, you may need to provide extra water throughout the year to the plant. The easiest way to tell if the plant needs water, is if the leaves and flowers start to droop during the hottest part of the day.
