How To Apply
- Choose a container larger than your plant's current pot, with a drainage hole and tray.
- Fill the new container with Cactus Potting Soil Mix up to 1/3 full.
- Gently remove the plant from its old pot and loosen the root ball.
- Center the plant in the new container and add more Cactus Mix, leaving at least 1 inch between the soil surface and pot rim.
- Lightly pat down the soil and add more if needed, ensuring the plant is at the same depth as before.
- Wait 1-2 weeks, then water thoroughly with a gentle spray and allow to drain.
Growing Tips
- Re-potting: Re-pot cactus, succulents, palm, and citrus annually in early spring. After re-potting, keep the plant in a shaded area for 1-2 weeks.
- Watering: Water thoroughly until it drains from the bottom. Allow soil to dry between waterings and avoid leaving water in the saucer. Reduce watering in winter.
- Light: Cactus and most succulents grow in semi-desert, and therefore need the best light you can provide. After re-potting, place in a shaded area for the first 1-2 weeks.
- Feeding: Begin feeding with Espoma Organic Cactus! one month after planting, following label directions.
