  • Use on Warm Season & Cool Season Grasses
  • Works Through the Shoots & Roots of the Weed
  • Rainproof In 2 Hours
  • Results Are Visible In Days

This product tackles both Yellow and Purple Nutsedge and over 50 broadleaf weeds, effective in both warm and cool season grasses. For best results, apply it to young weeds, though it also targets established weeds if applied thoroughly.

The formula works by being absorbed through both the roots and leaves of the weeds. It’s rainfast within 2 hours, so you don’t have to worry about getting caught in the rain. After treatment, wait 4 weeks before reseeding to ensure optimal results.

The active ingredient, Sulfentrazone, delivers a potent solution for a weed-free lawn. Select the 16 oz concentrate for both pre-emergent and post-emergent weed control.

32 Oz Ready To Use (RTU)

  • Twist open nozzle. Spot spray weed directly onto weed until well covered. Some weeds may require repeat application.
  • Wait at least 4 weeks after treatment before reseeding, winter overseeding, or plugging lawns.
  • For best results, apply to weeds where less than 3 inches high
  • Apply only when wind is no more than 10 mph.
  • Try to avoid overlap spraying.

Important: Avoid applying when windy to prevent product drifting to other plants. Do not spray over-the-top of flowers, ornamentals (including herbaceous) or garden vegetables other than those listed on the label under “Control of Weeds in Ornamentals” Section as injury may result. Do not use in turfgrasses other than those listed on the label. Do not use in greenhouses. Do not graze or feed treated grass clippings.

Control Of Sedges (Including Nutsedges) And Grasses
Spray directly on emerged weeds to control or suppress sedges and some grasses. ferti•lome® Weed-Out Nutsedge Control Ready To Use is effective against newly emerged and established sedges. Good spray coverage is needed for optimum control.

Control Of Annual, Biennial & Perennial Broadleaf Weeds
Spray directly on newly emerged weeds to control or suppress a wide range of broadleaf weeds.

16 Oz Concentrate

Use a hand trigger sprayer, pump-up sprayer or hose-end sprayer.  See Table 1 for specific use instructions for either cool or warm-season turfgrass varieties.

Preemergence applications
Spray recommended rate evenly over entire lawn.

Postemergence applications
Spray weeds directly until well covered.  Do not over-apply as this may cause undesirable turf injury.

Pump-up sprayers
Mix recommended amount of tablespoons in Table 1 according to desired turfgrass type in 1 gallon of water per 1000 sq. ft. covered. Mix and apply only the amount of product needed to cover desired area. Do not store mixed product.

Established Turf
This product may be used on seeded, sodded or sprigged turfgrasses that are well established. First application of this product can be made following the second mowing providing the grass has developed into a uniform stand with a good root system. Turf injury may result from application of this product on turf that is not well established or has been weakened by stresses such as unfavorable weather conditions, disease, chemical or mechanical influences.

When applied as directed under the conditions described, the following established grasses are tolerant to ferti•lome® WeedOut Nutsedge Control at the recommended use rates. Do not exceed 8.25 fl. oz./1,000 sq.ft. per calendar year.

Discolored leaf tissue will be removed with mowing. We encourage all plant lovers to purchase the Plant Addicts Warranty, whether you're a new gardener or an expert. There are many variables outside of anyone's control that can cause a plant to die. The warranty is purchased on a per plant basis and must be purchased at the same time as the plant(s). We will cover 100% of the price of the plant, but the warranty does not cover shipping costs. SImply let us know if your plant has died within 1 year of receiving it and we will get you a new one shipped out as soon as possible (depending on the time of the year and availability). Guarantee and Warranty

Plant Shipping

Below are some factors we consider when determining when to ship the plants depending on the timing of the order.

Winter to Early Spring

We ship only when it's warm enough to plant in your growing zone.
Sometimes plants aren't completely ready to sell and ship in early spring. We will wait until the plants are ready before shipping so you don't get a subpar product.
For Southern plants we will be able to ship much earlier than plants coming from our northern nursery.

Summer

If there is extreme heat we may delay shipping for a week or several weeks.
We review what areas the plants are traveling through as well as your location.

Fall into Winter

We’ll ship plants out all the way up to the end of the fall planting season!

Winter

Get your order in early to reserve your plants for Spring planting!

Once your plant is shipped you’ll receive an automated email with tracking information.
