The Fiesta Veranda® Rose is a prolific bloomer that produces striking flowers. The Rosa 'KORhesanwes' is a Floribunda, and the flowers bloom in clusters. The cupcake blooms have 12 to 15 petals and are extremely showy. The petals are a bold, sunny yellow that gradually fades to a vibrant orange. The orange edges deepen with age and almost take on a pink hue. Dark green, glossy foliage provides contrast to the bright flowers.
Create a lovely flowering hedge to define a space without obstructing sight lines. Add a foundation planting or a low hedge along a driveway or path. The rounded, bushy form looks lovely in a mixed bed or can be a focal point. The Fiesta Veranda® Rose grows well in a container and can add color to a deck or balcony. The mild scent adds to the appeal. The Fiesta Veranda® Rose grows in zones 5 through 11.
Fiesta Veranda® Rose Care
Select a sunny spot with at least 6 hours of light for the Fiesta Veranda® Rose. Fertile, acidic soil that is moist and well-drained is best. Water when the top layer of soil is dry. Increase water during a dry spell to keep the flowers blooming. Apply fertilizer intended for roses or acid-loving plants monthly during the growing season.
Deadhead faded flower clusters by trimming beneath the flowers and before the next bud. Prune the Fiesta Veranda® Rose in late winter or early spring after there is no longer a threat of frost. Remove crossed, spindly, or dead canes.
Fiesta Veranda® Rose Spacing
The Fiesta Veranda® Rose grows to 3.5 to 4 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide. Space shrubs 2 to 3 feet apart to create a continuous hedge.
