Freckles Croton prefers a nighttime temperature above 60 degrees Fahrenheit and around 70-95 degrees Fahrenheit during the day. If the plant gets too cold, it will begin to lose its leaves. If planted in the soil outside, it's best to cover the plant during frost. Freckles Croton is hardy in zones 10-11 outside. This plant is toxic when ingested and should be placed out of reach of small children and pets.
