This versatile plant can technically be placed anywhere in an aquarium and thrive. However, it prefers a stable environment, such as planting in the bottom of a tank. It especially does well in sand as the roots easily push through. Hydrocotyle Tripartita can be grown in the open as well as being placed under other taller foliage. This plant prefers a pH range of 6.5 - 7.5, and water temperatures from 70 - 83 degrees Fahrenheit. It enjoys slow-moving freshwater. It’s a relatively slow grower that can be pruned for shape and size.
