The Lady of Shalott™ Rose bush produces lovely, fragrant blooms that are sure to become a focal point of a landscape. Red buds open to reveal full, salmon-hued blooms. The large flowers bloom from spring through fall, and once open, the blooms are so heavy they cause the stems to arch gently. Broad leaves have toothed edges and are a bronze hue when they first emerge and settle into a medium green once they mature.
This is a large, full shrub. Let the stems reach, and they’ll climb, or cut the plant back to maintain a compact form. Feature the Lady of Shalott™ Rose in beds, borders, and mass plantings, and give it an arbor or trellis if you want it to climb. This rose is easy to maintain, disease resistant, and grows as a perennial in USDA zones 5 through 8.
Lady of Shalott™ Rose Care
The Lady of Shalott™ Rose is a repeat bloomer, and this beauty needs full sun. Plant in rich, acidic soil that is moist but well drained. New plants need consistent water, while established plants have medium water needs. Fertilize twice per month starting in the spring. Use a formula for acid lovers or a balanced plant food.
Remove spent flowers as they start to fade to encourage more blooms. Remove dead or damaged growth at any time and shape as needed during the early spring.
Lady of Shalott™ Rose Spacing
This plant has a compact, bushy growth habit, but the stems will climb. The Lady of Shalott™ Rose will grow 3 to 4 feet tall and spread out 3 feet. Space plants about 3 feet apart.
