The Monarch® Blue Knight Butterfly Bush is a late bloomer, but it is worth waiting. Tiny, star-shaped, purplish-blue flowers bloom in large 10- to 12-inch panicles or clusters during the summer. A second flush of flowers will bloom during the fall. Also known as Buddleia, this plant features dense green and yellow leaves that stay in place throughout the growing season for consistent color.

This plant is a natural fit for a butterfly garden, but it also makes a lovely addition to beds, borders, or mass plantings. Plant it near other flowering plants or a vegetable garden to draw pollinators in or create a lovely flowering hedge. Trim the fragrant blooms to display in a vase.
