The October Magic Snow Camellia is an elegant plant with unique blooms. These frilly flowers are double blooms and white in color. In the fall, they take on magenta edges. New growth in the spring is a lovely russet color. This dense, compact plant makes for a perfect hedge or screen.

The mature foliage color is a deep glossy green with russet colored new growth. The foliage is dense and compact. Blooms are a generous size, with each white bloom reaching up to 3 inches. During the fall flowering season, you can expect to have loads of blooms. Right at the end of the season, the flower bloom edges turn a magenta pink. The October Magic Snow Camellia grows to a height and spread of five to six feet. Use as focal point in landscapes or plant as a hedge. The October Magic Snow Camellia does well in mass planting and is great for privacy planting.

October Magic Snow Camellia Care

Full sun to part shade is optimal for the October Magic Snow Camellia. Four to six hours of sun per day is required for best results. Soil needs to be well drained and moist. It is tolerant to varying soil types. This Camellia should be watered regularly. Fertilize yearly with a plant specific fertilizer. Mulching in the winter is beneficial. If pruning is desired, do so in the spring prior to first flush.

October Magic Snow Camellia Spacing

If desired use is for hedge or privacy purposes, plant three to four feet, center on center. In other uses in your landscape, planting should be six feet, center on center.
