Here’s a reblooming azalea, a small shrub that can be used however you’d like. Plant Perfecto Mundo Double Pink reblooming azalea in a pot and enjoy a long display for flowers on the porch, patio or as a focal point in the landscape. Or plant it as a border or edging shrub in the landscape.
Perfecto Mundo Double Pink azalea is about 36 inches tall and wide. The foliage is evergreen. Azaleas and their sister plants Rhododendron need acidic soil to do well. Perfecto Mundo reblooming azaleas come in five other colors, too.
Perfecto Mundo® Double Pink Azalea Care
Grow in a sunny or partly sunny location. This will do well in milder coastal gardens (USDA Zone 6) rather than harsh Midwest locations. Although evergreen, it doesn’t hurt to give the plant a light pruning after spring blooms to encourage new growth. As a continuous or reblooming azalea (Rhododendron), it blooms on new and old growth.
Use an acidic fertilizer according to label directions for azalea or rhododendron. Don’t fertilize past July. Water well going into winter.
Perfecto Mundo® Double Pink Azalea Spacing
Plant one in a 12-inch or larger container. If mixed with other plants, Perfecto Mundo Double Pink Reblooming azalea could be the centerpiece or used as a filler. In the ground, space 24 to 36 inches apart.
