Besides the beautiful flowers, Pink Chiffon is a tough plant in the landscape. It is salt tolerant, deer resistant, heat loving and drought tolerant. It is highly attractive to butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects as well. It is a deciduous shrub which means it loses it leave for the winter but blooms on new wood.

Pink Chiffon is an easy care plant for gardeners. Full sun for best flowers and growth, hardy from Zone 5a – 9b, just average water and she will reward you with a multitude of flowers all summer long. Pink Chiffon blooms on new wood so if you want to do any pruning you should do it the previous fall. It will grow in just about any soil except standing water so that shouldn’t be a concern.

Pink Chiffon is a large shrub so give it some room to show off. Plant at least 6-7 ft. apart because the shrub grows 3-4 feet wide and 8 – 12 feet tall. You can also plant as a hedge, as the focal point in a large container or as a mass planting. Pink Chiffon adds a wonderful vertical element in the garden.
