Ruby Loropetalum, also known as Ruby Chinese Fringe Flower, is a compact, rounded evergreen shrub works well as a foundation planting or hedge. Deep purple foliage becomes green as it matures. Fragrant, pink flowers in spring add to this shrub’s appeal. Flowers sporadically throughout the summer.

Plant in well-drained soil and water regularly to establish. Water weekly or more often during periods of extreme heat. Prune after spring flowering and lightly during the summer to encourage new purple growth.
