This is one of the more unusual Rose of Sharons you can plant in your garden. It is a deep pink with a burgundy eye, semi-double flowered hibiscus with ruffles! You won’t see too many of those around in the garden. The flowers almost seem to be twirling around the shrub and you may mistake it for a true rose plant!
With shiny green foliage, it is covered from summer until fall with glorious ruffled pink flowers! It will be the hit of the pollinator neighborhood too, attracting those flying flowers known as butterflies, bees, hummingbirds and a host of beneficial pollinators. Think of the hours of entertainment you can enjoy with nature.
Ruffled Satin Rose of Sharon Care
Since this is an upright growing shrub, 8-10ft, tall and wide Ruffled Satin should be planted 8-10 ft. apart on centers for maximum growth. It can be used as a single focal point in the garden, a mass planting, as a hedge or use as a screen for privacy or to enclose your secret garden to enjoy nature.
Ruffled Satin Rose of Sharon Spacing
Purple Satin can be used as a focal point in the garden, in a mass planting, as a screen or a hedge since it grows 8-12 feet tall and 6 -8 feet wide so it will give you the privacy you desire. When planting the new shrubs you should plant them 6-8 feet apart, giving them room to grow upright.
