The Shadowland Wheee Hosta has ruffled leaves look like it is twirling about yelling Wheee! The ruffled texture of Shadowland Wheee leaves adds to the landscape making everyone stop twice to look at it.
The variegated white and green leaves break up the monotony found in so many perennial gardens and borders. It does well in almost any part shade to full shade garden with adequate moisture. An added bonus is a purple flower spike that arises mid-summer.
Shadowland Wheee Hosta Care
Fertilize this plant in the early spring just after the new growth begins with an organic fertilizer such as Espoma Plant Tone for best growth. A humus rich soil is ideal for hosta growth. Shadowland Wheee is hardy from Zone 3a-9b. With mounding growth its height is just 11-18 inches but spreads almost 30 inches in its happy place.
