Blooms so large, similar to annuals that are grown specifically for bouquets, this perennial is a shrub that provides beautiful, bright pink and lavender blooms in the summer. Beginning in the spring with almost autumn-like foliage, this bush quickly turns green with light and warm temperature. In the summer, these blooms come alive in shades of pink and lavender, perfect for homemade bouquets.
This landscape shrub is hardy in zones five through eight. It is very versatile in that it can be used in large containers, in borders, along fencing, and within a landscape. It is a showstopper during the entire growing season. It is susceptible to deer, but it is beloved by bees.

The Spring Torch Scotch Heather grows upright, compactly. It thrives in partial sun and full sun exposure, making it a flexible shrub for anyone’s landscape. It prefers well drained soil, and is somewhat drought tolerant. It should only be watered if a considerable dry stretch has been observed. It can be fertilized gently once established.
This shrub can be pruned in the late winter, or early spring for rejuvenation purposes, the earlier it’s done the better. While this plant is perennial in zones five through eight, it should be protected from strong winter winds.
