You may stop and do a double-take the first time you see the stunning flowers of the Starblast Chiffon™ Rose of Sharon. This Hibiscus syriacus cultivar boasts large, white flowers with red and pink veining. The red accents radiate from the center of the flower and provide a beautiful contrast against the pure white petals. These unique double blooms feature smaller, white petals near the center of the flower. This Rose of Sharon starts to bloom in the early summer, with flowers lasting longer than other varieties. The flowers are complemented by dark green, lobed foliage.
The Starblast Chiffon™ Rose of Sharon has a branched, woody structure and an upright growth habit. The large size makes this plant an excellent candidate for a hedge or privacy screen. The showy blooms make the Starblast Chiffon™ Rose of Sharon a natural focal point. This beauty is deer resistant and grows in zones 5 through 9.
Starblast Chiffon™ Rose of Sharon Care
Plant the Starblast Chiffon™ Rose of Sharon in full sun. The soil should be moist and allow drainage. This plant has average water needs; water it when the top several inches of soil are dry.
