Approximately 16” tall with a spread of 16”-18”, the Firefinch’s flowers feature shades of reddish-orange and pinkish red, along with green foliage. Native to North America, you can expect colorful blooms in the summer and fall. It’s very versatile, as it can be used as a border plant, in mass plantings, a container, or landscaping. It can also go solo and looks great as a cut or dried flower.

Care is relatively simple, as the Summersong Firefinch has few needs. Make sure the plant is situated in an area with adequate drainage – overly saturated soil can be very harmful to the plant’s development. These perennials flourish under ample amounts of sunlight, so opt for planting in uncovered areas. Additionally, the plant needs an average amount of water initially, but is drought-resistant once its growth is established.
