Candy‑bright and carefree, the Sunglasses Combination floods containers with hot pink mini petunias, yellow calibrachoa trumpets, and star‑splashed white‑and‑pink Supertunias from late spring straight through first frost. The trio forms a soft, trailing mound about a foot tall that drapes over pot rims or spills from hanging baskets in lively ribbons of color. Each component was bred for nonstop bloom, so you’ll enjoy a steady confetti of fresh flowers the entire warm season without tedious deadheading.

Heat tolerance is wired in: Mini Vista® Hot Pink and Superbells® Yellow shrug off scorching afternoons, while Supertunia® Lovie Dovie sails through humid spells with strong disease resistance. Pollinators flock to the bright blooms lighting up entry urns, porch rail planters, window boxes, or the sunny edge of mixed borders. Use one recipe for a bold patio accent or cluster several pots for a pastel parade along a walkway.

Sunglasses Combination Care

Start with a porous, peat‑based mix and blend in a time‑release fertilizer at planting. Water deeply whenever the top inch dries—daily in midsummer, less often during cooler stretches—and empty saucers so roots never sit in water. If you’ve pre‑charged the soil with slow‑release food, wait six weeks before adding a half‑strength liquid feed; otherwise apply a balanced water‑soluble fertilizer every other week to keep the flower show strong. Shear stems back by one‑third in midsummer, then water and feed to refresh the flowering dome.

These Proven Winners® selections are annuals in most regions can overwinter outdoors only where winter temperatures stay above 40 °F (zones 10–11). Everywhere else, enjoy them as seasonal color, or move the pot into a bright sunroom before the first frost to extend the display for several more weeks.

Sunglasses Combination Spacing

One kit—two Mini Vista® Hot Pink, two Superbells® Yellow, and one Supertunia® Lovie Dovie—fills a 12‑ to 14‑inch container to the brim. For a roomier 16-18‑inch basket or pot, double each component or add a central yellow canna as a thriller. Plant transplants 10–12 inches apart at the border’s front for a low, spreading ribbon of pastel color, or pop single plugs 8 inches apart to create a fast summer groundcover under taller perennials.
