SuperCal® Premium Rose Pink Petchoa (Petunia x Calibrachoa hybrid 'SAKPXC037') delivers a wash of rose-toned flowers that open in spring and continue through autumn. Each trumpet-shaped bloom has a soft, satiny texture and thrives under various weather conditions. This hybrid unites the best traits of both petunias and calibrachoas, producing an ongoing show without constant deadheading. In fact, the self-cleaning habit keeps them looking fresh from planting until the season’s end.
SuperCal® Premium Rose Pink Petchoa has a medium-sized, mounded form, which suits both sunny borders and container arrangements. The durable foliage tolerates summer heat, late frosts, and sudden rainfall, making it a versatile choice in many regions. Hummingbirds often hover to sample nectar, adding movement to any outdoor space. Gardeners value its reliability as either a focal accent in beds or a trailing “spiller” in mixed planters.
SuperCal® Premium Rose Pink Petchoa Care
Plant after all danger of frost has passed, choosing a spot with fertile, well-draining soil. Provide six or more hours of direct light for the most consistent performance, though partial sun can still yield a healthy bloom cycle. Water often enough to keep the soil gently moist, and apply a balanced fertilizer monthly to support strong stems and flower production.
Minimal pruning is necessary, though pinching or light trimming early in the season encourages bushier growth and more blooms. Cut back any leggy stems in midsummer to prompt a fresh burst of color. For a tidier look, remove spent flowers that linger on the stems, though many will drop on their own. In containers, monitor moisture more closely to prevent stress, especially during hot or windy spells. Winter care is generally unnecessary since these petchoas are typically grown as annuals, but gardeners in milder climates may extend their display by providing shelter from cool nighttime temperatures.
SuperCal® Premium Rose Pink Petchoa Spacing
Place individual plants about 14 to 22 inches apart in a row or mixed bed, allowing them room to mound and trail. When potting a new specimen, choose a container at least 12 inches in diameter so the root system can spread and anchor this colorful petchoa.
