Growing Zones
This stunning compact rose has pure white double blooms that begin opening in spring and continue to frost without deadheading. White Drift Rose was created by crossing miniature roses and full-size ground cover roses. They were introduced in 2016 and bred to have the tough disease resistance and winter hardiness of groundcover roses and the manageable size and repeat blooms of miniature roses.
White Drift Roses can be added to border gardens, used as specimen plants or in mass plantings. They’re perfect for filling in gaps between existing shrubs and for small gardens. This compact rose will reach 2 to 3 feet wide and only 1 to 2 feet tall at maturity.
White Drift Rose Care
White Drift Rose grows best in full sun and moist well-draining soil in USDA planting zones 5 to 11. It’s resistant to powdery mildew and black spot. Fertilize with a slow-release fertilizer in the spring and again in the summer as directed on the package. Pruning is not required, but for more vigorous blooming cut the stems in half in early spring.
White Drift Rose Spacing
Space multiple plants 3 to 5 feet apart, center on center. Stagger the plants rather than in a straight row for a more natural look.
