Growing Zones
The vigorous growing White Flower Carpet Rose will make your outdoor space look like a snowstorm hit during the spring through fall when the showy flowers bloom. Double white blooms are large and lush and open to reveal yellow stamens. The gently trailing stems spread and reach, making this deciduous perennial appear full and vibrant. Glossy dark green foliage with slightly toothed edges fill in the spaces between the charming flowers.
This shrub is easy to maintain and can be used in beds or borders. The trailing habit makes this plant a natural fit for containers, especially hanging baskets or use as a groundcover. The White Flower Carpet Rose is a prolific, repeat bloomer with long-lasting flowers. This shrub can be covered entirely in flowers during the summer with proper care. This hardy cultivar grows as a perennial in USDA zones 5 through 8.
White Flower Carpet Rose Care
This fast-growing plant needs full sun, but it prefers morning sun and afternoon shade in warm climates. Water this perennial weekly or when the top few inches of soil dry out. To look its best, this Rose needs rich, moist soil with a pH level of around 6.5.
Apply a slow-release balanced fertilizer in the spring to get the plant off to a good start. This plant does not need to be deadheaded but trim the Carpet Rose back by one-third during the late winter or early spring to encourage new growth.
White Flower Carpet Rose Spacing
The White Flower Carpet Rose is a trailing perennial that will grow 1 to 2 feet tall and 4 to 5 feet wide. Space plants as close as 3 feet when creating a ground cover or leave more room so the showy plant can stand out. One plant can be grown in a 12-inch container.
