In the spring bright yellow and green leaves and a pop of color to your yard. Come fall it transforms into a burgundy pink. Uses for this plant are seemingly endless.
Planted for its foliage, its leaves first emerge yellow with green stripes. As the seasons change and it starts to get cool out you will notice your plant takes on a pink-burgundy tint. It has a mounded, clump forming, growing habit, and its leaves arch in a fountain like manner. The Aureola Golden Variegated Japanese Forest Grass grows to a height and spread of twelve to eighteen inches. Use as a border plant, for ground cover, edge planting, mass plating, or around trees.

Plant in part shade to part sun. Grows best in cool summer climates. Some sun is required for best foliage color but keep out of harsh summer sun. Soil should be hummus right and uniformly moist. Ensure the soil is well drained. Water needs are average. Ph levels should be 6.0-7.0 for the Aureola Golden Variegated Japanese Forest Grass. Mulching is beneficial to retain moisture and keep roots cool in summer and protects against harsh winters. Divide every two to three years in the spring. Prune and remove spent foliage before new growth emerges.
