Mixing plants with various textures and colors can improve your landscape's appeal. Dolce Spearmint Coral Bells provides that appealing mix in one pretty package. This Coral Bell (Heuchera) is one of the most versatile and unique plants you can own. Its classic evergreen Heuchera foliage is silvery green with darker green veining. The pink flowers also boast two shades, dark pink on the petal tips and a lighter pink at the base of the flower.
The long-blooming Dolce Spearmint Coral Bells plant looks pretty through winter and is tolerant of salt used on icy sidewalks or driveways. It's also deer resistant but attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds to its pretty pink blooms. The blooms rise above the 8- or 10-inch high mound of foliage by mid-summer. With its striking colors and textures, Dolce Spearmint is a gorgeous stand-alone featured plant in your landscape or a container. It's also pretty in groups as a low border or groundcover.
Dolce Spearmint Coral Bells Care
Dolce Spearmint Coral Bells grow well in sun or shade in most soil types. Choose a spot or container that drains well. It needs average watering, especially during peak summer heat. The only pruning you need to do is to remove any damaged leaves and faded flower stalks that remain in early spring. The North American native is hardy to most U.S. regions (zones 4 through 9).
Dolce Spearmint Coral Bells Spacing
Plant Dolce Spearmint Coral Bells where you can see it from a window or deck all winter long. Space border or groundcover plants 16 to 22 inches apart from center to center.
