Eleanor Taber Indian Hawthorn, Rhaphiolepis indica ‘Conor’, is an evergreen shrub with clusters of pink flowers mid-winter through spring and again in the fall. Winter foliage turns a deep maroon. Blue-black berries provide additional winter interest. Excellent in the shrub border, in containers, informal hedges and mass plantings.

Plant in average, well-drained soil and water regularly to establish. Once established only occasional watering required. Fertilize before new growth begins in the spring. Prune to shape if desired after flowering.

Plant 4 to 5 feet apart in the shrub border and mass plantings. Space 3 feet apart, measured from the center of each plant, when establishing a hedge.
