With Fun and Games Red Rover Foamy Bells, you can have beautiful, year-round foliage in a compact perennial. That makes this Heucherella hybrid a beautiful winter plant for your entryway containers or landscape. Red Rover Foamy Bells is one of the most colorful plants you can have in shady locations of your yard and enjoy into winter. The coppery red foliage contrasts well with drifts of snow.
Although grown mostly for its heavily lobed and colorful foliage, Fun and Games Red Rover Foamy Bells also sends up spikes of foamy white flowers in spring. The plant grows in a mounded shape to only 8 inches high, but up to 20 inches wide. This compact shape and winter color make it a perfect border plant or filler for the front of a container. Just be sure to place Fun and Games Red Rover Foamy Bells where you can enjoy its bronze-red foliage in winter.
Fun and Games Red Rover Foamy Bells Care
Plant Foamy Bells in zones 4 through 9 in fertile soil that drains well. Heurechellas are native to North America and handle heat, cold and periods of drought. But be sure to give your Heucherella about an inch of water each week during peak heat. The perennial benefits from occasional soil amendment every few years. Fertilize your Fun and Games Red Rover Foamy Bells if you like with a water-soluble fertilizer at about half-strength, but don't give the plant too much nitrogen.
Fun and Games Red Rover Foamy Bells Spacing
Fun and Games Red Rover Foamy Bells is a great border or container plant in shady areas of your yard. Be sure to space the plants about 18 to 20 inches from each other or from the nearest companion plant.
