Garden Mums bring that classic burst of fall color everyone waits for, and this collection gives you the full range to choose from. Whether you're after a bold red, a soft blush pink, a rich purple, or a clean crisp white, each one grows into the same full, ball-shaped mound that reads as tidy and traditional wherever you put it.
These mums form a prolific, uniform dome of green foliage, blooming late in the summer and carrying long-lasting flowers well into fall. Most varieties in this collection grow fourteen to twenty-four inches tall with a spread of twenty to thirty-six inches, making them a solid pick for window boxes, borders, mass plantings, or as a cut flower to bring some color inside. Butterflies and hummingbirds will keep stopping by for the nectar.
Garden Mum Care
Plant Garden Mums in full sun for the best color, though they'll tolerate part shade too. Keep the soil moist, mums have shallow roots and dry out quickly, especially in the heat. Feed weekly with a water-soluble fertilizer while the plant is in bloom to keep it going strong. Give it good air circulation to prevent mildew, and clean up dead growth in early spring before new growth starts.
Garden Mum Spacing
Space plants eighteen to twenty-four inches apart, center on center, to let the mounds fill in fully without crowding.
