Holiday Pinpoint® Blue False Cypress Care

From January through spring, place your shrub where it can receive at least a few hours of bright sunlight, either direct or indirect. Water only when the top inch of soil begins to dry, as soggy conditions can harm the roots. Rotate the container weekly so the plant grows consistently on all sides, and if indoor air feels dry, mist the foliage occasionally.

As conditions warm outdoors, ease your cypress into its permanent space by setting it outside for a few hours daily over one to two weeks. Then dig a hole about twice the root ball’s width in well-draining soil that gets at least four hours of sun. Position your cypress so the top of the root ball is level with or slightly above ground, backfill gently, and soak thoroughly. A mulch layer around the base helps keep moisture consistent, encouraging steady growth without demanding frequent attention.
