Guide: How to Care for Your New Plant(s)

Plant Addicts Warranty - 1 Year (Extra Purchase Required)

We encourage all plant lovers to purchase the Plant Addicts Warranty, whether you're a new gardener or an expert. There are many variables outside of anyone's control that can cause a plant to die. Hungry animals, drought, poor soil conditions, over watering, diseases & pests are all good examples of what can cause plants to die. The Plant Addicts Warranty is a 1 year warranty protecting you from all of the unknowns and will replace your plant if something were to happen to it.

The warranty is purchased on a per plant basis and must be purchased at the same time as the plant(s). We will cover 100% of the price of the plant, but the warranty does not cover shipping costs. SImply let us know if your plant has died within 1 year of receiving it and we will get you a new one shipped out as soon as possible (depending on the time of the year and availability). We may ask for photos for documentation purposes, but we try to make the process as easy as possible.

Guarantee and Warranty

Plant Shipping

Below are some factors we consider when determining when to ship the plants depending on the timing of the order.

Winter to Early Spring

We ship only when it's warm enough to plant in your growing zone.
Sometimes plants aren't completely ready to sell and ship in early spring. We will wait until the plants are ready before shipping so you don't get a subpar product.
For Southern plants we will be able to ship much earlier than plants coming from our northern nursery.

Summer

If there is extreme heat we may delay shipping for a week or several weeks.
We review what areas the plants are traveling through as well as your location.

Fall into Winter

We’ll ship plants out all the way up to the end of the fall planting season!

Winter

Get your order in early to reserve your plants for Spring planting!

Once your plant is shipped you’ll receive an automated email with tracking information.

Plants Included In "In Love Again" Annual Combination

Fall in love again and again with this beautiful pastel mix of annuals. Funky purple trumpets edged in chartreuse green complement the bright pinstriped pink-on-pink trumpets and the dainty bouquets of blizzard white florets and are set apart by the beautiful lush green foliage peeking out from underneath all the blooms. Even the unopened flower buds of the verbena create the excitement of texture and color.

Petunias and verbenas are a classic combination of annuals. Both require similar growing conditions and are easy care plants for your patio or porch. Both are heat tolerant and will continue blooming during the hottest months of summer. As hybrids, you get the best of both worlds, all the great attributes of the parent plant and the resilience and disease resistance of the improved varieties.

In Love Again Annual Combination Care

Care and maintenance on these two classics entails planting them in well draining rich soil, feeding them with a slow release fertilizer and watering when dry. Superbenas are drought resistant, and once well established, Supertunias will tolerate light periods of drought. Both annuals enjoy a regular watering regimen for optimal growth. Applying a water soluble fertilizer every couple of weeks during the growing season will provide plenty of energy for nonstop blooms. While deadheading is not needed to prolong blooming, both annuals will appreciate a mid season trim to refresh growth and promote branching.

Select a minimum 12 inch hanging basket or container when purchasing the 4 ¼ inch pot size plants and space them up to 12 inches apart. If purchasing the 8 inch pot size plants, or if planning to plant additional quantities of plants in your arrangement, consider upsizing your planter to the next size, either 14 or 16 inch. This will allow these low spreading plants to grow quickly to fill your container and spill over, cascading 24 to 36 inches down when fully mature.

In Love Again Annual Combination Ideas

Pull all this lovely color and texture off your patio or porch by planting these versatile annuals in your garden bed or landscape border. Full sun to light shade locations are best, and be sure to provide the rich well draining soil both varieties crave. These low mounding, trailing annuals will quickly fill in the foreground of your space, spreading out 24 to 36 inches. Plant them on top of a rock wall and watch them spill over for a fantastic display you will fall in love with, again.
