Maestro® Coral Hummingbird Mint earns its place in sunny gardens with an unusually long season of saturated coral-pink bloom that never needs a midsummer haircut. It sends up dense flower spikes from early season straight through fall, holding color even in peak heat. Reaching 18–24 inches tall and spreading 10–18 inches wide, Agastache hybrid ‘G19131’ delivers strong vertical presence without becoming rangy or sparse. Heat and drought tolerance make it particularly valuable in exposed sites where other flowering annuals fade.
Aromatic green foliage releases a light mint scent when touched and helps deter deer in open landscapes. Bred for superior garden reliability, Maestro® Coral has earned multiple 2025 Top Performer recognitions across university trials, including late-season honors for sustained show. Nectar-rich blooms draw hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees in impressive numbers, making it a strong pollinator anchor in sunny designs. Its upright habit works beautifully as a thriller in large patio containers or planted in drifts for a concentrated block of color.
Maestro® Coral Hummingbird Mint Care
Plant this hyssop in full sun with at least six hours of direct light daily to maintain compact growth and heavy bloom. Soil must drain quickly, with a slightly acidic to neutral pH around 6.0–7.0; avoid low spots where water collects after rain. In beds, incorporate compost and coarse material if needed to improve structure before planting.
Water deeply at installation, then allow the top layer of soil to dry before watering again, keeping roots moist but never saturated. Container specimens benefit from reduced watering frequency as temperatures cool in fall. Feed every two to three weeks with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer during active growth to sustain flowering.
Deadheading is optional but can tidy the appearance if desired. Avoid cutting plants back hard once buds are forming, as this can delay bloom. In warm climates where plants may overwinter, trim stems back in late winter before new growth begins.
Maestro® Coral Hummingbird Mint Spacing
Space plants 12–18 inches apart in garden beds to allow airflow and full branching. For containers, use a pot at least 12 inches wide for a single plant, or feature it as the vertical accent in larger mixed combinations.
We recommend Maestro® Coral Hummingbird Mint for bold, warm color that performs steadily rather than in cycles. In landscape borders, pair with blanket flowers, yarrow, or coneflower for a heat-ready, pollinator-focused display. In containers, combine with petunias or annual vinca to emphasize the warm coral tones and create layered texture.
