The leafy Osaka Red Flowering Cabbage introduces bold color and plenty of texture to a planting. The Brassica oleracea Osaka 'Red' has ruffled leaves in a purplish-red shade. Outer leaves are deep, dark green with purple-red veining for added color and a coordinated look. The leaves grow in a rosette, making the plant look like a giant flower.
Ornamental cabbage is an excellent fit for a mixed bed, border, or container. Feature the Osaka Red Flowering Cabbage near the front of a bed so the lovely foliage is on full display. The color becomes more intense as the weather gets colder.
