Knock Out® Roses have become a reliable must-have among gardeners that love to grow Roses/ Petite Knock Out® is the next level miniature Rose. Its tiny size defies the absolute masses of lipstick red blooms it produces. Petite Knock Out® is the right size to be added to containers of mixed perennial plantings or featured alone to show off its perfectly shaped double blooms and dark foliage.

The Petite Knock Out® Miniature Rose has the perfect mounded shape that stays compact and does not spread. It really is like a miniature Tea Rose. This rose would look at home in a Fairy garden or planted as an edging in the Rose Garden. Petite Knock® is a continuous bloomer that goes all summer long. Gardeners in Hardiness zones 1-3 are able to grow this lovely plant as a houseplant in the winter months. This miniature Rose makes a great pot plant that may keep blooming well into the winter.

Petite Knock Out® Miniature Rose Care

The great thing about Petite Knock Out® is that it is as low maintenance as other ground cover roses. Average water is acceptable after this Rose is established. Extra irrigation may be necessary during hot and dry periods. Container planted Roses should be fertilized on a monthly basis to ensure continuous blooming. Roses planted in the garden will need a well balanced, slow release fertilizer early in the spring. Full sun is a must to keep the blooms producing and leaves deep green. Petite Knock Out® has resistance to most pests and diseases.

Mulching with an organic compost or leaves will help insulate this shrub from the coldest of winter and also help to enrich the soil to make it more moisture retentive. Pruning is not generally needed. Deadheading to keep the bush tidy and encourage more blooms.

Petite Knock Out® Miniature Rose Spacing

This miniature Rose is very compact and only has a height and width of 15-18 inches. This makes it perfect for mass planting at the front of the garden or to tuck into containers. Spacing the plants at 12 inches center on center is recommended. Pot size for a single plant should be at least 12 inches in diameter.
