The double yellow flowers on Rise Up Ringo Climbing Rose will rock your garden with their moderate fragrance and sunny color. But the real stunner on this mini climbing rose is its bright red eye. Plant a full border or hedge with these pretty roses and create a color sensation of abundant yellow and deep red flowers on glossy green foliage all summer long. The award-winning rose is versatile too. Bred as a mini climber, it can grow up a trellis or as a medium-height, dense shrub.
The best part of this rose is that gardeners can enjoy those unique flowers all summer with little care on this reblooming rose variety. It is hardy in USDA zones 4 through 8. Reaching nearly 5 feet high and about 3 feet wide once mature, Rise Up Ringo grows quickly, a bonus in a climbing rose. But its moderate size keeps it from taking over. Instead, it can complement nearly any garden style, from cottage to casual.
Rise Up™ Ringo Climbing Rose Care
Rise up Ringo will perform best if planted in full sun (at least 6 hours a day) and in soil with average fertility that drains well. Fertilize it after spring pruning and a few times throughout the growing season. A granular rose fertilizer will work best. It needs consistent water, and morning is the best time to water your rose. Avoid spraying the foliage if possible, and apply the water near the roots.
This rose is also bred to resist common diseases and requires little care. Prune your rose in spring as new growth begins to appear. Remove dead or damaged limbs, and shape it how you like, letting it spread and climb or shape it to form a shrub. You do not have to remove the spent flowers; the plant will self-clean. But you might want to cut some to bring inside and enjoy!
Rise Up™ Ringo Climbing Rose Spacing
Give climbing roses plenty of room for air and growth, spacing them a minimum of about 1 to 2 feet apart. If growing this pretty rose as a climber, place it near a trellis, arbor, or fence.
