Blue Moon Punch is a charming and reliable addition to your garden. This silver-lavender flower has a dark purple eye and will bloom right from planting to a hard frost. These mounding and cascading beauties will be covered in thousands of blooms over the growing season, adding a pop of color to your hanging baskets and mixed planters. The small petunia shaped flower is self-cleaning, so no deadheading is required!
Best used for mixed containers, window boxes and hanging baskets, Blue Moon Punch can be used successfully in raised beds if the soil is very well drained. The flowers can attract hummingbirds, so it is a great addition to the pollinator garden. Hailing from South America these Calibrachoa are heat tolerant and disease resistant.
Superbells® Blue Moon Punch Calibrachoa Care
Plant Superbells Blue Moon Punch in part to full sun (4-6+ hours daily) for best performance. Use an all-purpose, water-soluble fertilizer regularly. If you notice yellowing later in the season, a chelated iron or foliar spray of iron can help. Calibrachoa can use a trimming when planted, for a bushier plant. If the plant looks tired and leggy mid-season, it can also be pinched back without harm.
Calibrachoa require well-drained soil, and prefer to dry out slightly between waterings. Whether you are planting these Superbells in the landscape or in containers, make sure the soil has good drainage and is friable. Be sure to watch for snails, slugs, aphids, root rot and botrytis; possible pests of the Superbells.
Superbells® Blue Moon Punch Calibrachoa Spacing
Calibrachoa Superbells Blue Moon Punch reaches a height of 6-12 inches tall and has a spread of 12-24 inches. For best results space plants 8-12 inches apart when planting in raised beds. Using 4-5 Blue Moon Punch plants in a 12 inch planter will result in a full and beautiful container.
