White Prosperity Gladiolus Bulbs create tall, clean white flower spikes that make summer bouquets look finished. Gladiolus 'White Prosperity' grows from spring-planted corms and reaches about 36 to 48 inches tall, with creamy white, lightly ruffled blooms arranged along upright stems. The pure color is especially useful beside stronger summer flowers because it gives the planting a cooler, more composed look. Our designers reach for this variety in cutting gardens when an arrangement needs height, freshness, and a flower that works with nearly every color nearby.

This large-flowering gladiolus is perennial in zones 8 to 10 and can be grown as a summer bulb in zones 3 to 7 with winter storage. The blooms appear in mid to late summer and attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators. Deer and rabbits usually avoid gladiolus, which makes it helpful in sunny borders that need taller flowers. Use White Prosperity Gladiolus Bulbs in cut flower rows, cottage gardens, wedding-style plantings, and sunny fence lines.

White Prosperity Gladiolus Bulbs Care

Plant White Prosperity Gladiolus Bulbs in full sun, with at least 6 hours of direct light for strong stems and better flowering. Use well-drained soil that is moderately fertile, whether sandy, loamy, or improved clay. A slightly acidic to neutral soil pH, about 6.0 to 7.0, is suitable, but drainage is the more important detail.

Water after planting, then keep the soil evenly moist once shoots are growing. During summer, deep watering once a week is better than frequent shallow watering, especially in dry weather. Fertilize lightly when flower spikes begin to form, using a balanced fertilizer according to the label. In zones 3 to 7, lift corms after foliage yellows in fall, dry them briefly, and store them in a cool, dry, frost-free place.

Cut flower stems when the lowest florets begin to open, leaving several leaves on the plant to feed the corm. Remove spent flower stalks after bloom if they are not being harvested. Planting corms 4 to 6 inches deep helps reduce leaning, but exposed or windy sites may still need discreet staking.

White Prosperity Gladiolus Bulbs Spacing

Plant White Prosperity Gladiolus Bulbs 4 to 6 inches deep and 9 to 12 inches apart in garden beds. For a longer harvest window, plant small batches every 1 to 2 weeks in spring until early summer. In containers, use a deep pot at least 14 to 16 inches wide with drainage holes, and plant several corms together for a fuller vertical display.

For container companions, use verbena, lantana, or fan flower around the base because they enjoy sun, warm weather, and steady watering without hiding the gladiolus stems. In landscape beds, salvia and tickseed suit the same sunny conditions and keep color going near the base of the spikes. Fountain grass gives movement beside the upright flower stalks, while Shasta daisies make a clean summer pairing for white-on-white cutting garden arrangements.
