Amaryllis plants have large, showy flowers. The Apple Blossom Amaryllis produces reddish-pink petals that fade to white near the center. The large petals have a slight texture and curl as they open, revealing pronounced stamens. The Yellow Apple Blossom Wax-Dipped Amaryllis Bulb or Hippeastrum often produces two stems, each producing 4 to 5 flowers, which last 4 to 6 weeks.
This Amaryllis Bulb is incredibly easy to grow and requires minimal care. It grows best as a houseplant or can be displayed on a porch or protected patio area. The showy flowers stand out against the yellow wax coating the bulb. The wax coating does not harm the plant and allows flexible placement options.
Yellow Apple Blossom Wax-Dipped Amaryllis Bulb Care
The Yellow Apple Blossom Wax-Dipped Amaryllis Bulb performs best as an indoor plant. Place the wax-coated bulb in bright, indirect sunlight, selecting an area free of drafts. The bulb is self-contained and does not need to be planted or watered.
Trim the stems back when the growth starts to decline. Store the bulb in a cool, dry place for six weeks to give it a rest period. Return the bulb to a sunny spot to encourage it to grow again.
Yellow Apple Blossom Wax-Dipped Amaryllis Bulb Spacing
The Yellow Apple Blossom Wax-Dipped Amaryllis Bulb grows 18 to 24 inches tall and 5 inches wide. The bulb does not require a container or potting mix. A metal stand secures the wax and holds the bulb upright.
