Espoma Organic Land & Sea Gourmet Compost is ideal for vegetables, flowers, trees, and shrubs. This premium mix combines natural ingredients with crab and lobster shells and our Myco-tone blend of mycorrhizae to strengthen roots and promote healthy growth.

How Much To Use

Garden Beds
Enhance your garden by mixing 2 to 3 inches of Espoma® Organic Land & Sea Gourmet Compost into the soil.

Planting Trees & Shrubs
Combine Espoma® Organic Land & Sea Gourmet Compost with native soil in equal parts to backfill the planting hole.

How To Apply

For New Garden Beds

1. Spread 2-3 inches of Espoma® Organic Land & Sea Gourmet Compost over the garden area.
2. Add the recommended amount of Bio-tone® Starter Plus.
3. Mix or till the compost into the soil to a depth of 4-6 inches. Level with a rake.
4. Plant seeds or live plants according to package instructions.
5. Water thoroughly after planting and daily as needed until established.
6. Begin fertilizing with Espoma Tone Plant Food 30 days after planting.

For Planting Trees & Shrubs

1. Dig a hole as deep as the root ball and twice as wide.
2. Position the plant so it's at or slightly above its original depth.
3. Mix Espoma® Organic Land & Sea Gourmet Compost with the native soil in equal parts.
4. Add the appropriate amount of Bio-tone® Starter Plus.
5. Fill the hole with amended soil, water thoroughly, and allow to settle. Add more soil if necessary.
