How To Apply

For Potting Soil

• To improve heavy soil, mix one part soil to one part Perlite.
• To blend your own potting media, mix two parts Peat Moss with one part compost, and one part Perlite.

For Seed Starting

1. Use Espoma Peat Moss or an 80/20 blend of Peat Moss and Perlite in shallow containers.
2. Use peat pots or seed starting trays with drainage holes.
3. Moisten the mix and allow it to drain.
4. Follow seed package instructions for planting.
5. Place tray in a warm, bright spot (avoid direct sunlight).
6. Mist regularly to keep soil moist.
7. Transplant seedlings once they have their first leaves, handling carefully to avoid root damage.

For Root Cuttings

1. Fill a container with Espoma Peat Moss or an 80/20 blend of Peat Moss and Perlite, and moisten the mix.
2. Make a hole, insert the cutting gently, and pat the soil.
3. Keep soil moist and out of direct sunlight until roots develop.

For Bulb Storage

• Cover bulbs with dry Espoma Perlite.
• Do not water or compact.
