Espoma Organic Raised Bed Mix is ideal for your raised garden beds, combining top-quality natural ingredients with earthworm castings, feather meal, alfalfa meal, kelp meal, yucca extract, and a proprietary mycorrhizae blend. This mix promotes deeper roots, lush foliage, and robust plant growth.

How Much to Use

How To Apply

1. Fill the raised bed with Espoma Organic Raised Bed Mix.
2. Add Bio-tone® Starter Plus according to the recommended amount and mix thoroughly.
3. Plant seeds or live plants as directed on the package or tags.
4. Water thoroughly after planting, and continue to water as needed until plants are established.
5. Start a regular fertilization program 30 days after planting.

Raised Bed Growing Tips

• Design beds no wider than 4 feet for easy access.
• Avoid walking on the soil to prevent compaction.
• Mulch after planting to control weeds and retain moisture.
• Use a soaker hose to water soil without wetting plant leaves.
• Plant annual ryegrass in fall to prevent erosion and enrich soil; work it in the following spring before planting.
