This Leading Lady Bee Balm has orchid pink flowers, with incredible fragrance not only in her flowers but her leaves as well. What more could you want in a plant? She is going to be great as a cut flower, is a come hither plant to the birds, bees, hummingbirds and more. An added bonus is she is going to be a showoff by blooming all summer long in the garden.

Bee balm is one of the best plants for our pollinators, so having it in the garden ensures that other plants including vegetables will be pollinated as well. ‘Leading Lady is naturally deer resistant too saving her from Bambi. As a perennial you will know that she will be doing encores for a long time in the landscape.

Leading Lady Orchid Bee Balm Care

Leading Lady Orchid Bee Balm does best in full sun to part sun with a well-drained but evenly moist soil. It is hardy from Zone 4a-8b and is winter hardy and summer tolerant. Fertilize once a month with a balanced fertilizer and occasionally remove spent flowers.

Leading Lady Orchid Bee Balm Spacing

Leading Lady is a petite plant, only growing 10-14 inches tall and 22-24 inches wide. This makes it an ideal plant to use as a border in the garden, in a container or in a mass planting 1-2 feet apart, center on center. Don’t forget to use her in a cutting garden as well for adding fragrance to a bouquet!
