The Let's Dance® Diva! Hydrangea is from Proven Winners ColorChoice®. This shrub is a definite show stopper! You have not seen anything like this before! The plant has sepals the size of your palm that are either baby blue or pink depending on soil pH. The lace-cap blooms are the same size as dinner plates.

This dwarf hydrangea is also reblooming. Meaning it blooms on new and old wood throughout the summer and fall. One unexpected trait of this plant, is that it is salt-tolerant. So you could potentially plant these compact shrubs in hell-strips for some added curb appeal!

This mounding plant has sturdy stems to hold up the outstanding blooms and dark green leaves. It was bred by Timothy D. Wood of Spring Meadow Nursery in Grand Haven, Michigan, and is part of the Proven Winners ColorChoice® Color Choice® Collection.

Let's Dance Diva Hydrangea Care

Plant these somewhere that gets morning light, but are protected in the afternoon by some shade. If you do plant these in full-sun, be sure to water more often during hot summer days, especially in southern states. A good way to tell when these need to be watered, is when the leaves start to wilt. Be sure not to over water, as these lacecap hydrangeas need lots of moisture but well drained soil to prevent root rot.

If you want to prune the Let’s Dance Dive Hydrangea, do so shortly after the first bloom in early summer. However pruning is not needed typically. We do recommend pruning off dead or sick branches and leaves when possible.

Let's Dance Diva Hydrangea Spacing

Plant these small bushes 24 to 36 inches apart, center on center. For a hedge, you can plant 18 to 24 inches apart for a smaller garden border. These make for great mounding landscaping borders.
