Let's Dance® Lovable™ Hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla 'SMNHMTB' PPAF; CBRAF) is a reliably reblooming deciduous shrub. This stunner blooms spring through summer, displaying deep pink or blue flowers in large, fluffy globes. This hydrangea also offers fall interest with its glossy foliage that turns red in the colder weather. Let's Dance® Lovable™ Hydrangea grows to a mature size of 3 - 4 feet high and wide.

This hydrangea can be used in borders, hedges, or as a standalone specimen. If you choose to plant it in a container, make sure to pick a large enough pot. The pot should have drainage and be able to hold the root ball and a few inches of soil surrounding it.

Let's Dance® Lovable™ Hydrangea Care

Plant your Let's Dance® Lovable™ Hydrangea in the early springtime during the coolest part of the day. Hydrangeas classically need plenty of hydration. Keep it well watered until established, and then provide about an inch of water per week. The soil should be well draining and rich in organic matter. Add compost when planting to improve drainage and increase soil nutrients.  A fun feature of this hydrangea is that the pH of soil will influence flower color. A low soil pH will turn the flowers blue, and increasing the pH of the soil will turn the flowers hot pink.

Let's Dance® Lovable™ Hydrangea prefers morning sun and afternoon shade since it is susceptible to heat stress. Too much harsh afternoon sun may dry out and scorch the plant. Part to full sun, at least 4 - 6 hours of sunlight daily is recommended. Apply fertilizer if leaves start to turn yellow, using any fertilizer formulated for flowering shrubs. Before new growth emerges in the spring, fertilize using a hydrangea-specific, granular, slow-release fertilizer.

Let's Dance® Lovable™ Hydrangea requires no heavy pruning. In fact, heavy pruning may impact the number or quality of blooms for the next growing season. Simple upkeep like removing dead branches is recommended to reduce the risk of disease. Deadheading spent blooms through the growing season can be beneficial, but make sure to stop trimming before fall so new growth doesn’t get damaged by frost.

Let's Dance® Lovable™ Hydrangea Spacing

This showstopper is excellent for creating a low hedge, or it can easily be a standalone specimen in your garden. Allow for 3 to 4 feet of space surrounding this hydrangea.
