Hostas are known for their lovely foliage and menial care requirements, and the Shadowland® Love Story Hosta is the perfect example of both. The large, heart-shaped leaves grow in a rosette formation and feature thick, green margins that surround creamy white centers offset by spots of chartreuse. The veining is indented, and the edges of the foliage have a gentle ruffle for added dimension. This plant is primarily grown for its showy foliage, but small white flowers bloom on top of tall stems during the summer.

Shadowland® Love Story Hosta Care
Plant the Shadowland® Love Story Hosta in part to full shade. This plant needs about 4 hours of sunlight to thrive. The soil should be rich, well drained, and have an acidic to neutral pH. Water new plants regularly during the first growing season, but established plants develop drought tolerance and only need supplemental water during an extended dry period. Feed the Shadowland® Love Story Hosta using a balanced, slow-release fertilizer annually in the spring.
Cut back the flower spikes when the blooms fade to clean up the look. Dead or damaged growth can be removed anytime, and all of the growth can be removed in the fall after the first frost. Divide Hosta in the spring or fall when this leafy plant outgrows its home.
