Guide: How to Care for Your New Plant(s)

Plant Addicts Warranty - 1 Year (Extra Purchase Required)

We encourage all plant lovers to purchase the Plant Addicts Warranty, whether you're a new gardener or an expert. There are many variables outside of anyone's control that can cause a plant to die. Hungry animals, drought, poor soil conditions, over watering, diseases & pests are all good examples of what can cause plants to die. The Plant Addicts Warranty is a 1 year warranty protecting you from all of the unknowns and will replace your plant if something were to happen to it.

The warranty is purchased on a per plant basis and must be purchased at the same time as the plant(s). We will cover 100% of the price of the plant, but the warranty does not cover shipping costs. SImply let us know if your plant has died within 1 year of receiving it and we will get you a new one shipped out as soon as possible (depending on the time of the year and availability). We may ask for photos for documentation purposes, but we try to make the process as easy as possible.

Guarantee and Warranty

Plant Shipping

Below are some factors we consider when determining when to ship the plants depending on the timing of the order.

Winter to Early Spring

We ship only when it's warm enough to plant in your growing zone.
Sometimes plants aren't completely ready to sell and ship in early spring. We will wait until the plants are ready before shipping so you don't get a subpar product.
For Southern plants we will be able to ship much earlier than plants coming from our northern nursery.

Summer

If there is extreme heat we may delay shipping for a week or several weeks.
We review what areas the plants are traveling through as well as your location.

Fall into Winter

We’ll ship plants out all the way up to the end of the fall planting season!

Winter

Get your order in early to reserve your plants for Spring planting!

Once your plant is shipped you’ll receive an automated email with tracking information.

Plants Included In Color Statement Annual Combination

It's not often that you get to make a statement by choosing what flowers you want to plant this spring. This lovely pastel combination of Supertunias will speak loud and clear that you not only love the pink and white stripes, dark magenta, and white with pink pinstripes, but you are not afraid to let your world know it. Super fresh color, super vigorous plants with super long blooms all summer long that last well into fall.

Supertunia is an improved variety of petunia that not only is heat tolerant unlike its parents, blooming through the hottest months of summer with no sign of let up, but is also less likely to go to seed and stop blooming, giving you spring to fall color. The mounding spreading habit makes Supertunia one of the best annuals for hanging baskets, large patio planters and window boxes because they grow vigorously and spill out, trailing down to 36 inches long, creating a lovely cascading display of nonstop blooms and foliage.

Color Statement Annual Combination Care

Well draining soil...you’ve heard it before and you will hear it again. Petunias will not survive in wet soggy soil. Fast draining soil, frequent watering when the top two inches of soil are dry, an application of slow release fertilizer when first planted, weekly doses of water soluble fertilizer, and full sun with some part shade in the hottest sun regions, are what Supertunias need from you. Deadheading is not necessary with Supertunias as they will drop spent blooms. You will want to shear, or trim back, the entire plant at least once midway through the season to promote more branching and flower production and keep the plant within its bounds.

When planting the 4 ¼ inch pot plants, choose a 12 inch hanging basket or patio container. If you use the larger 8 inch pot plants, or use additional plants, choose a larger container accordingly. Goal is to allow up to 12 inches of space between plants until they are established. Once they have grown tall enough, interweave the stems to create the ‘all over’ look that is so attractive.

Color Statement Annual Combination Ideas

Although this combination already makes quite a statement on its own, if you want to take it over the top for a larger patio planter, consider purchasing several Proven Winners Giant Snowflake Sutera Bacopa to tuck along the edge of your planter to create an enhanced frilly fringe and make this combination uniquely your own. Supertunias will also look great in your garden bed or landscape border, just be sure you can provide the necessary well draining soil conditions. Using raised beds will help you to achieve this.
