Heuchera ‘Glazed and Infused’ forms a dense clump of large, metallic-looking leaves that stay crisp from spring into winter in milder climates. The silver foliage features charcoal-black veins, a contrast you usually only get from a designer container. It tops out around 8–10 inches tall and spreads 12–14 inches, so it slides neatly into the front of a bed. The leaf surface is slightly ruffled, which catches low light and makes the silver look brighter in shade.

Once summer hits, tall scapes rise to 22–24 inches and carry rose-pink flowers that bring in bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. It’s notably floriferous and blooms even when winters are mild. Compared with Dolce® Silver Gumdrop, this one stands a bit taller, mounds more cleanly, and shows off larger leaves. Tuck it into borders, edge a path, or use it as a refined filler in mixed containers. It also holds up in salty, windy spots better than many coral bells.

Dolce® Glazed and Infused Coral Bells Care

This heuchera grows in sun or shade, but it looks best with part shade, especially afternoon shade in warmer regions. Plant it where water won’t sit around the crown, and aim for organic, well-aerated soil with a pH of roughly 6.0–7.0. After planting, water often enough to keep the root zone lightly moist while it establishes; once settled, it prefers steady moisture but won’t tolerate soggy conditions. In full sun, give a little extra water during heat so the foliage doesn’t dull. If you fertilize, keep it simple with a light application of a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in spring as new leaves start pushing.

In early spring, remove any winter-worn leaves to make room for fresh growth, and trim spent flower stems once blooming slows. If the clump ever lifts from freeze-thaw cycles, press it back into place and top-dress around the roots in fall to help prevent heaving. In windy winter sites, a bit of protection helps foliage stay cleaner. Divide every few years if you want to refresh vigor and create new plants.

Dolce® Glazed and Infused Coral Bells Spacing

Space plants 12–14 inches apart for a tight, continuous ribbon of silver, or a bit wider if you want each mound to show its outline. For containers, start with a 10–12 inch pot for a single plant, or use a 14-inch bowl when mixing companions. Try pairing it with hellebore for early-season structure, add dwarf mondo grass for a dark edging, and weave in woodland phlox nearby for a soft spring layer.
