Dolce Toffee Tart Coral Bells Heuchera brings delectable foliage tones to the part-shade garden. The unique foliage shade develops from amber to ginger tones. Creamy flowers are held aloft the deep tones of the leaves to entice bees and butterflies. The dark foliage of Toffee Tart makes a fabulous addition to any garden, and provides winter interest, too! This is a top easy-care, salt-tolerant choice for part-shade gardens.
Toffee Tart has a low, mounded growth habit that looks fabulous at the front of the garden. It’s the perfect choice to plant along a walkway that gets salted and shoveled throughout the winter, as it can tolerate higher salt levels than other border plants. This coral bells variety is also a top contender for container planting and edging plantings.
Dolce® Toffee Tart Coral Bells Care
Coral Bells are native to North America and adaptable to a variety of conditions. They are dependable perennials in Zones 4-9. Dolce Toffee Tart will do best planted in part shade. They will grow slowly in full shade. Plant in soil that is rich with organic matter and well draining. They prefer a neutral pH and annual fertilizing.
Coral Bells are often evergreen through the winter. Trim back damaged leaves in the spring for fresh, tidy, and vibrant new growth. Add a layer of compost around the roots in fall to avoid frost heaves in cold winter climates.
Dolce® Toffee Tart Coral Bells Spacing
Dolce Toffee Tart has a mounded, compact growth habit that requires 16-18” of space.
